Importing osu!mania Maps

Play thousands of community-made maps directly on your console!

Step 1: Find a Map

Go to the official osu! beatmap listing.

Make sure to filter your search by clicking "osu!mania" mode. Our engine supports 4-key maps, so type keys=4 in the search bar or look for maps tagged as 4K.

Step 2: Download the .osz File

Once you find a song you like, click the Download button. You will get a file ending with the .osz extension.

Step 3: Unpack the Archive

An .osz file is actually just a standard ZIP archive! Simply rename the file extension from .osz to .zip.

Extract the ZIP file using WinRAR, 7-Zip, or your system's built-in extractor. You will get a folder containing the .osu difficulty files and an audio file (usually .mp3 or .ogg).

Step 4: Copy to SD Card

Take the extracted folder and copy it directly into the songs/ directory of your Jam Anywhere game folder on your Anbernic's SD card.

The structure should look like this:
/songs/My Cool Song/ (containing the .osu and audio files)

Step 5: Play!

Launch Jam Anywhere on your console. The engine will automatically detect the [OSU] maps, parse the 4K hit objects, and sync them with the music. Use the Left/Right arrows in the song selection menu to change the difficulty!
